1930s Regal 2-Point (Octofone-Style) Tenor Guitar

Overview: This is a Regal-made tenor guitar that's very similar to their usual Size 5 examples, though it has a pearloid-faced fretboard and uses an Octofone, 2-point body shape rather than the guitar-shaped body they usually have. It sounds largely the same as a normal one, though, because the build, scale, lightness of the materials, and bracing pattern is almost identical. These have a woody, warm, and slightly banjo-esque quality to them. I've strung this CGDA (standard) at the moment but it can be restrung and retuned to a variety of other tunings depending on what the next owner needs. GDAE is popular on these as well.

Repairs included: Tim gave this a neck reset, seam repairs, brace reglues (well, re-reglues of some sloppy old reglues), some fill for some sloppily-repaired old back cracks, and fit a set of new, Gotoh, Kluson-style tuners. I gave it a level/dress of the frets, side dots, cleaning, and setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to go!

Condition notes: It has several repaired back cracks. The top is free of cracks but does have some deepere scratches that look like cracks. It's original throughout save for the bridge and tuners. The tailpiece lost its cover at some point but it still works just fine. There are scratches, scuffs, mild weather-checking, and wear and tear throughout. The frets are on the low side (especially at the edges, due to the way the celluloid warps over time and turns flat boards a bit concave) but still work nicely.
