1963 Fender Musicmaster (Duo-Sonic Mod) Electric Guitar

Shop friend Steve left this here for us to work on last time and it arrived as a mucked-up Musicmaster with replacement pickup, harness, and whatnot. He provided Duncan Antiquity pickups, a 3-way switch, and a proper replacement pickguard and metal ground-shield.

Jose gave this a refret and set it up. I wired it all up with a fresh harness (500k pots, Orange Drop cap, Switchcraft jack, new 3-way, treble bleed circuit). It's a player!

As a bonus, the wiring scheme for these puts the "middle" position in series and so it acts as a "passive boost." Hang on the neck and bridge for normal playing and switch to middle to get a push for your amp, just like on old Danelectros. Yip!

All that aside, isn't it fantastic? I love all the scribbled scratches.
