1966 Harmony H165 000-Size X-Brace Conversion Guitar

Overview: This guitar, unfortunately for everyone else, just got scooped-up in the store yesterday. The H165 model is one of the most desirable Harmony boxes that folks up here ask me for and this one was rebraced to an x-pattern by someone and, as a result, has a killer sound. It's a bit like an old 00-17 Martin but with maybe a "breathier" sound to it and less-pretty, but more-aggressive mids.

Repairs included: I think Jake Too worked on this one. It got came to us with the neck reset but it needed the frets leveled and dressed, a new saddle fit, and some setup work done -- all of which he did. It's playing like a champ, now.

Condition notes: There are light scuffs and scratches here and there throughout but it looks good for its age. The bridge is a replacement (the originals left a bit to be desired) and the tuners are, too. While the top is tough enough for 12s, we strung it up with 11s due to the lightly-reinforced nature of the poplar necks used at this period by Harmony.

It comes with: It has a chip case.
