1968 Framus Gaucho 5/194L 0-Size Guitar

This adorable little parlor/sort-of-0-sized guitar sold before we got the chance to list it. I love this model and have had a number of them over the years but they are quirky. It's not so much that they have a "good" sound, but it's a "useful" sound, especially if you're a singer. They're sort-of midsy and have a thunky, woody bass and mellowed trebles. They're not very loud. The neck is quite comfortable, though, and when you fingerpick or strum them in the context of recording, they've got that thing that makes them invaluable for studio use. You can just stick a mic in front of them and there it is -- you've got "pickup-driving drifter" vibes almost immediately.

Anyhow, Jake Too went through this one -- giving it a level/dress of the frets, cleaning, bridge alteration (they're entirely bolted to the top on these so he moved it from one place to a place where the saddle would be compensated correctly), and setup work. It's now playing spot-on.

This is the multi-super-ply maple, bolted-neck version of this guitar (as opposed to the set-neck type of the early '60s).
