1971 Martin D-28L Lefty Dreadnought Guitar
Overview: I think this is only one of three or four old factory lefty Martins I've had through the shop. This one's a nice box, too -- very pretty and in decent shape for its age, too. It has a big old sound -- with a warm and creamy bottom-end but also lots of snap on the top. The neck is bog-standard for the era but comfortable and practical and it has a little more radius to the board than most early-'70s Martins (many are almost flat) so I call that a win.
Repairs included: It got a neck reset from myself. Jake Too repaired top cracks on the lower and upper bouts, fit a new pickguard, made and fit a new bone saddle, leveled and dressed the frets, cleaned it up, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and is ready to serve.
