1965 Silvertone 612 (Harmony) 000-Size Guitar

Overview: I was traded this guitar eons ago for work done, as I recall. I have been getting Jake Too into training mode for neck resets and Jose and Ancel have been doing more of them as well, too, on their own. I fetched this one for Jake Too to work on because it had a lot of different elements to do and he and Jose did a great job on it! Old Harmony boxes of this sort can be curmudgeons to repair but they're great, folksy, woody-sounding guitars when done.

This one has a pretty striking spruce top with grain direction all over the place and a nice, 3D glow to the woodgrain because of that under the sunburst finish. It's crack-free, fairly clean, and has the original pickguard, too. Jake Too made a new bridge out of ovangkol that has a good resemblance to a bleached original Harmony bridge (the original bridges on these are usually broken and garbage) and the whole thing has a nice, folksy look about it.

Repairs included: Jake Too gave it a neck reset, made and fit a new bridge (with a little help from Jose in routing the saddle slot and pinholes), leveled and dressed the frets, made a new saddle, fit new pins, and set it up. It plays spot-on and is ready to go.
