2007 Eastman AR910CE Jumbo Carved-Top Archtop Guitar

The owner of this guitar bought it almost 2 years ago as a "damaged in transit" shipping accident guitar. He sent it here and waited... and waited! It had a complex crack in the side that I was shrugging-off until we could fit it into our shop schedule. Finally, Tim did the work and he did a great job. I wish I had taken "before" pics because that whole side was wildly out of alignment and splintered all along the edges of the crunched-in cracks.

The repair process was first to get it aligned and then to install epoxy-soaked linen on everything behind it after the initial glue set-up and stuff was back in place. It's a tedious, days-long job when it's a crack that long and troublesome. We didn't do any touchup work aside from cleaning it up a bit, sealing bare areas, and buffing it out so it wasn't jagged.

After Tim was done I rewired it with a a fresh harness (its under-pickguard controls had been broken in half) and that turned-out fortuitous as the original harness had been wired-up wrong to begin-with. It's got a Kent Armstrong bucker at the neck and I often find the factories wire these backwards because hot/ground is not marked on them.

That done, I just needed to give it a quick setup. It's now quite the player and it's fancy to boot. If you're after a jazzbox -- this be a jazzbox!
