2009 Gibson Songmaker DSM-CE Cutaway Dreadnought Guitar

Overview: This somewhat-unknown model was from a line of guitars Gibson made in the former Garrison factory up in Canada (which they bought in 2007). There's a lot of flak online aimed at these when you pop over into fancy guitar forum land but the guitar itself sounds good, is built well, and looks good, too. It's a sort-of, "if Gibson were to go after a mid-range-Taylor market, this is what it might look like" instrument.

When you think of it as a modern guitar, out of the frame of reference of a J-45 or Hummingbird or the like, then it makes a lot more sense. It's gig-ready with a pickup fit at the factory and it has a fairly deep cutaway with a classy, shallow-slope outline and so fret access is not an issue if you're planning to play a bit of lead work way up the neck.

Repairs included: Jake Too reglued the bridge, leveled and dressed the frets, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and is ready to go.
