1970s Yamaha G-55A Classical Guitar
I've posted about a ton of old Yamaha classicals (and several G-55A models), but this one was the first guitar this one's owner played -- stolen from his sister's hands. Don't worry, she'd quite forgotten about it at the time.
I figured I'd take a few shots of this all-ply, boomy-bass wonder because, for a Yamaha, it's so clean. The top only has some fingernail-wear around the soundhole and there are some scuffs on the back. Usually these are trashed. It was also built with a surprising feature -- a saddle installed in the right place. They're almost always 1/16" to 1/8" too far forward.
So -- there! A practical, cheap, and functional guitar when you find one at a flea market or yard sale.
