Yard Sale Guitars: Copley Signatures & No-Name
Here are two "yard sale" guitars -- too cheap to make sense shipping unless really desired.
First-up is a Copley that I blogged-on a few years ago. It has a ton of country-star signatures. It's the usual Asian-import, all-ply wonder and it sounds and plays just fine -- and comes with a gigbag.
$200 in-shop.
Next-up is this guy...
It's a solid-top, non-branded, Asian-import guitar. I'm imagining it's from around 2000 and it has the Fender-style bridge from the time. Someone kitted-it out with a tailpiece and Korean-made Danelectro lipstick pickup and wiring harness at some point. It's been removed. Someone also put in an adjustable saddle thingy but they epoxied its metal base in place and used a traditional saddle instead. Too weird...
Still, it actually sounds fine and is good to go, despite ugly wear and tear. There's chip-out of the finish near the neck/headstock graft joint.
$100 in-shop w/chip case.
