2018 Mule Tricone Resonator Guitar

Mules are popular resonators. The company really blew up in the last few years and now they're known all over the place. I do remember when it was a fresh outfit, however, and it's cool to see that they've come so far. This is a pretty interesting guitar as it looks a lot like a mellowed-out National Style O single-cone guitar but in fact it has a tricone setup under the hood instead. This gives a longer-sustain, more-lush, cleaner sound compared to the more barking, attack-heavy single-cone thing.

It has serial number 431 and I posted on it last year in 2023 (when it was setup lefty), but since then the owner's pegged-down the build date (2018) and also realized it's an extra mouth to feed. Wait, huh?

Well, his loss, your gain! I've just gone through this again -- swapping the lefty setup back to righty, fitting a new acoustic pickup (to make use of the jack hole already there at the endpin), and giving it any other adjustments it needed. It's ready to roll and going strong and is currently setup for flatpicking/fingerpicking/normal guitar action. It would be easy-peasy to shim-up the saddle for slide work if desired.

Repairs included: previously -- fret level/dress, adjustments, lefty setup/side dots, pickup adjusting -- and now, currently, a fresh righty setup and adjustments, K&K pickup install, and minor adjustments.

Condition notes: it's in very good shape and, as these are relic'd when made in terms of body patina, it looks more or less like it did when it left the workshop. It has extra side dots on the treble side of the neck for when it was setup lefty and also a filled strap button hole on the bass side of the heel from the same. This used to have a magnetic pickup installed but I replaced that with a K&K acoustic pickup fit to the bridge -- it sounds great and is low-maintenance and has good output. There may be minor scratches and scuffs here and there that I am not noticing -- please zoom in on the photos to check it all out.

It comes with: hard case.
